wireless issues

Hi all I'm running ubuntu lusid and I've downloaded my broadcom drivers from the website and installed them. But for some reason I still can't see my wireless in network manager. I'm not sure what else to install or uninstall to fix the problem and can't find much docs that seem to help. I just haven't got the interface. I do have a lan connection so I can install anything I need that way. thanks for your help
