problem with speach dispatcher in lusid

What dependencies is it telling you are missing?

Do you have anything that might provide a clue in:
/var/log/speech-dispatcher
or
/var/log/dist-upgrade
[date & apt.log]

You might try booting to recovery mode and then use dpkg from the
recovery menu.
