The word "glacial" comes to mind. For me, CentOS is the last sane refuge
for the die-hard command line geek. Solid as a brick. I have never used
Debian, as I don't go for the political grandstanding and extremism. I
can't tell if they are ultra-left or ultra-right, but they have always
been "ultra" something. Jus' my four cents, Ric
