I am now wery convinced that this must be a bug in the serial device driver for
ordinary serial ports. In my example http://tinyurl.com/22qyr3a I have
tried a lot
of different things...
This should be send to the Ubuntu team as a bug. How does one do that?
The funny thing is that noone is using serial hardware anymore...
I have a UPS that I want to run with the serial line - this is why I
still want /dev/ttyS0 to run.

P.S.
By the way. How do I examin output? I have a VT220 terminal. YES the
real hardware from Digital Equipment. This is a nice thing to debugg serial
problem with. (I won't sell it ;-) )
