Why kind of headset? USB or does it connect to the mic/headphone sockets?

Hi Alan,

It connects to mic/headphone sockets. I have tested it listening by playing a Video file using VLC Player.
Please suggest further.

VLC is used for output
now use Audacity to record a sound with the mic
