Propelling a flux capacitor at 88MPH isn't really much of a challenge 
these days.  The 1.21 Gigawatts was more problematic, but modern designs 
are much more energy efficient, and a jump of a few months should be 
possible with only about 2000 watts, available on most normal household 
circuits..

(Alternatively, maybe he just downloaded the first public available 
Alpha released with much fanfare last week.. He's your boss, you ask 
him.... but if it's a server, are you sure you aren't seeing 10.04? 
That's the most recent LTS release, and what you are most likely to find 
on servers)
