There may be problems with the CAPT driver. This link

http://www.openprinting.org/printer/Canon/Canon-LBP-3010

says the Canon LPB 3000 series only 'partially' works and that version
2.0 of the driver does not work, but version 1.9 can be downloaded from

http://support-vn.canon-asia.com/contents/VN/EN/0900772410.html

This link

http://www.boichat.ch/nicolas/capt/

seems to say it is not supported any more. See also

http://debian.are-ata.org/capt/

for comments about Ubuntu use. Note that neither of these two links
recommend it for the LPB 3000.

Hope this helps.

Tony

PS Its always best to go to

http://www.openprinting.org/printers?action=search

first for any printer problems.
