Ahhhh ...rahhhhhh .... I pointed him to launchpad in the result I found.
I did a google search and found only one really good pointer to his
problems that matched most of the error message he reported. Plus,
launchpad is slow as a dog tick when it comes to a search. And, google
will report any other problem, anywhere else, resembling a match to his
failure messages, especially if problems are upstream to Ubuntu and the
cause CAN lie elsewhere. Or, some Ubuntu users posts to his personal
blog about the problem and how he fixed it. So, damn skippy, Google can
certainly be your friend, ~~IF you are judicious~~ when scanning the
results. You have to admit, launchpad is one of the slowest to respond
sites out there, ergo I loose patience and use google. <harrumps> Ric
