8.04 to 10.04 dist upgrade

"Never push a red button ...as red is never a good color to push."

That particular upgrade button is red. It's fraught with peril and a
sure trail of tears when you make that great a leap into the abyss
between 8.04 and 10.04. Abandon all hope, should thee push on that red
candy-like button, that ye really want to push. 

But, I know you want to push it anyway. So, obtain one of my patented
"Chicken-Foot Computer Voodoo" charms, turn your baseball cap around
backwards, and just PUSH that red button, but only AFTER you wave the
chicken foot and chant. You're own your own with regards to the content
of your chant, unless someone on the list wishes to share the one they
use. Mine is pretty much un-printable, as it is R-rated and Adult Only
Content.  

If this upgrade works, it'll sure as hell be magic. :) Ric
