Hello Pete, thanks for the reply.

I am not able to connect to a cable and here is the odd thing.  I can
connect with the wireless but not with the cable connection!  I had to
travel a while to get this connection but I will be her for about 2
1-2 hours

'tail -f /var/log/messages yeilds

'tail -f /var/log/messages
