Since the article is probably TL for you and you likely DR it, here's
a little part:

'A profanity is a word, expression, gesture, or other social behavior
which is socially constructed or interpreted as insulting, rude,
vulgar, desecrating, or showing disrespect."

Note the, "...socially constructed or interpreted..," and the part
about, "disrespect."

That means that the /society/ decides, not the
offended individual and that being disrespectful to <insert some name
we all know> /is/ profanity.

Please read all of this TL;DR post and learn something about /yourself/
in the process.
