I think it's a perfectly valid point, as people who run servers
configure these filters for their users to abide with. There are 5 forms
of abuse: physical, emotional, intellectual, sexual and spiritual.
Abuse, in any of these forms, can be elevated to the point of felony
rape ...but we, as a society, focus on the sexual version and not it's
cousins to our detriment, spreading fear and ignorance.
My point is that filtering out "rape" would preclude a discussion of
emotional rape, or (what seems to get bandied around here) intellectual
rape. Abuse, extreme enough, is philosophically rape, if not legally.
So, better to be thoughtful of how you set your filters for a mail list.
Especially if "skyscrapers" gets tossed because the letters r and a and
p and e are in sequence within another harmless word.
