Fixed the top posting...

I had this same bug on my system (also an nVidia card) but that was
way back during Beta for Lucid.  It was fixed in a later beta.

Are you running the open nVidia driver or the proprietary driver?  I
found that I had to run the non-free driver to get my video to work
reliably.

You can run the Hardware Drivers tool from the System/Administration
menu to see if it's turned on or not.
