Hi, Mike

Would it be easy to install 8.04 - ot take the change to install Lucid
- from a normal install cd on the new 2 disks, creating partitions and
raids (maybe lvm too) using the install process?

You will end up having 2 working systems you can boot from, copying
what you need from the old to the new would be easy, I think.

I have use a similar process to update machines, but not to create an
"exact" copy, as I understood you want to.

Am I missing something?

Regards
Luis
