Pointing device not working in Compaq tc4400

I have compaq tc4400 , it comes with a pointing device . The pointing device was working fine before but yesterday I install einstructions Interwrite Workspace and einstructions Interwrite Workspace® content . Since then the pointing device is not working . Pointing device works upto the login page and after that it does not work .
