OK, I see now that I had also misinterpreted the meaning. I agree
that it is not ambiguous in that a very careful reading does reveal
the meaning. I suggest however that the fact that the meaning has
been misinterpreted by myself does indicate that it is not entirely
*clear*, to me at least. In my defense can only ask whether others
reading it saw immediate clarity.
In addition the wording on the checkbox is not ideal. On initially
seeing a checkbox labeled Warn me when sites try to install add-ons,
the initial thought as to what would happen if the checkbox is cleared
is that there would be no warning, so implicitly suggesting that the
installation would go ahead without a warning, as another poster
thought.
