Interestingly, it does it better than MS Office!!  They brought out Office 2007 
without the ability to read any older Office documents!!  Knowing Mickeysoft, 
this was likely done to FORCE users to up grade but for several lawyers in my 
town, I used Open Office to translate their old Word docs to the new Word 
format.  It resulted in them installing Kubuntu computers in their offices!  
Great move MickeySoft!  ...do it again!!!!
