computertemp Not Showing CPU Temps

I added the computertemp package but the applet doesn't show my CPU
temps, just the hard drives' temps.

However, I can see CPU temps when I use the CLI sensors program.

Seeking ideas as to why computertemp is broken for my system:

  LTS 10.04, 64-bit, kernel 2.6.32-24.39, Intel Core 2 Quad 6600,
mobo: Gigabyte Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L, Rev. 2 (BIOS version F9 [latest])
