Do you have anything in your /var/log/pm-suspend.log?
What exactly are the hibernate messages in the messages log? Anything in
system or debug logs?
I seem to recall that you had the exact same problem last year with your
laptop. Is there anything that you recall doing on the laptop that you
may have carried over to the desktop relating to this? Also, can you
post the output of 'lshwtbdesktop.txt':
$ sudo lshw > lshwtbdesktop.txt
to pastebin?
One other thing you might consider trying is installing mcelog and
seeing if you can trap anything with that:
