Good idea. Too bad some are clueless enough to imagine
that arguing about it does anything other than waste time.

That is because someone failed to trim the post. All you should
see is enough quoted material to provide context plus the
response.
Failure to trim can happen with either top or bottom posting,
but in my experience it is more common with top-posting.
