Lucid 2.6.32-20-generic crashes on ThinkPad T43

When I took the Lucid update that included 2.6.32-20-generic, on my
laptop (ThinkPad T43) I found that the machine would not boot; the
kernel failed immediately with a stack trace.  The other four machines
I've installed it on have been fine.

Anybody else seen anything like this?  How do you report a bug that
crashes before the machine boots?
