I guess it's a function of "theme" choice. I have several Karmic
themes brought forward and they work as expected. Then there are
several, both Karmic and Lucid, that provide the option of where the
buttons are placed L/R. Personally I like 'em where they were, but
that could just be because that's where they've been for donkey's
years. I suppose in time I'll adjust if buttons on the left becomes
a standard. Not one I'd have voted for however, had I been asked...
