Kudos for Lucid Lynx

Hi all,

I'm running Lucid on a Sony VAIO W Series (2nd generation) and I couldn't be
more impressed. I installed 10.04 beta because 9.10 doesn't support the GMA
3150 very well (bad flicker).

The VAIO W comes with Windows 7 Starter which bears only a faint resemblance
to even a Windows OS. I wish I'd loaded Lucid before upgrading it to
Windows 7 Professional.

I used Wubi to install the Lucid 64-bit Beta 1 and have run apt-get update
and dist-upgrade on a daily basis. I've had very few problems, none of
which lasted more than a couple of days. I'm doing Java, Google App Engine,
and Groovy on Grails software development. With a 7200 rpm HD and 2 GB of
RAM, the Atom N450 runs very well with Lucid. Compiles are a little slower
than with a Core 2 Duo machine, but are still acceptable. All in all, a
great combination.
