DVD transcoding under Ubuntu

Can't really helpyu, but allow me to ask why should non-latin subtitles be
messy on UTF-8? The more than 1 byte? latin as a ã also. (you have
cppdeveloper in your email...)

In what DVD Ripper software that happens?
