Can't log in gnome session after changing display

Hi,

In console mode
sudo /etc/init.d/gdm  //or kdm

sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

sudo /etc/init.d/gdm start  //or kdm

I think that's gonna fix your problem.
