Sorry did not read Karl's email carefully enough. IIUC, Karl wants the
Windows entry to be the top one.
Create an executable /etc/grub.d/09_windows with
menuentry "Windows" {
set root=(hd0,X)
chainloader +1
}
and run update-grub
