Mounting partitions

Not infront of my pc right now so can't give u a great answer, but
have you gone back and looked at your fstab to see if the entry has
been moved into there?
I use fstab for entries to partions that are to be mounted at system
start up, every time.
If u say, plug a usb drive in for temporary usage it won't appear in fstab.
If you google it, you should be able to fine the answer quite easily.
The line you put in mtab isn't far off what the fstab entry would be.
