8042.c No controller found

now I try to install the ubuntu server 8.10  .
I got the error as :
i8042.c:No controller found.
Loading.please wait...
hub 4-0:1.0:unable to enumerate USB device on port 2
Gave up waiting for root device.

In my opinion : ubuntu server can not support USB device as well as ubuntu
desktop version.
