mount.nfs:connection timed out

Should of thought of this one. I find in syslog a single mount request 
for each of the nfs filesystems that mounted and a dozen for the backup 
directory. I'm not finding anything in any of the other logs. Any 
suggestions where I should look?
I can't figure out what has changed as this whole set up has been 
working for over a year including multiple updates that required 
reboots. Also why just the one directory does not mount. The machine is 
at a different location, but unless I can come up with something I guess 
I need to go on location and try shutting down both computers and 
bringing them back up again in proper sequence and see if it will solve 
it. I don't have any other ideas
