If by automatic you mean "will my system upgrade itself without  
asking" then no, it will not.

However, upgrading will be very easy, since your system will present  
you with the option to upgrade if you wish to. Usually these upgrades  
go very smoothly, but there is always some risk so make sure you have  
backups before upgrading.
