Please let us know the following info:
What Ubuntu version are you using?
        When did this start?
What exactly are you trying to install?
How are you trying to install this package?
I assume for this it's through Add/Remove, but just to
                be sure...
Do yo have an internet connection?
From the 404 error, I'm deducing that it's looking for a
repository that isn't there any more. this could mean
that the repo has disappeared, or you have no internet,
                hence the question.
What do you mean by "i have no protection"?

Addressing what I THINK you mean by the last point, if by 'protection'
you mean antivirus/antispyware/firewall, etc... you don't need it. this
doesn't mean you can't HAVE them, it just means that they're really not
necessary. Ubuntu's default firewall comes securely closed, there are
few to no linux viruses in the wild (the majority of viruses target
windows specifically anyway), spyware targets windows PCs, and provided
you don't have a weak password, and don't download software from places
you don't trust, then you will be just fine.
