I seem to have crippled Firefox

Hi folks,

I installed the latest JRE in order to download some music from nugs.net 
and my browser now freezes when I open it.  I saved the download page 
(which is java driven) while I messed about trying to get the java 
working.  I think - and please correct me if I'm wrong, that if I could 
somehow undo that saving of pages, it would work again.  How do I do this?

Bizarrely enough the JRE seems to work fine with Chromium.
