He never suggested that.  And I completely agree that you have no particular 
right to ridicule the OP's wish (beyond the right we all have to disagree).

Why not?

There are things that "professionals" might want to discuss that would be of 
no interest to the end-user.  I'm hard-pressed to imagine the value of a 
single forum to every possible kind of professional, though.  Still, there's 
absolutely no reason there shouldn't be such places.  The best argument 
against it was the one that end-users would flood it if they thought they 
could get better answers there, but you don't see floods of newbies on the 
ubuntu devel lists, and you wouldn't see them on a list that was dedicated 
to professional discussion.
