Postfix mailbox location

I did this but received errors:

cannot update mailbox /home/wadesmart/data/wadesmart/Maildir for user
wadesmart,
unable to create lock file
/home/wadesmart/data/wadesmart/Maildir.lock: no such file or directory

Its like it cant see out of /home.
