You do not have to re-enter the passwords each time you access the
network(s). In wicd, for the network you are accessing, you simply click
on Properties|fill out the bits & key & off you go. The next time you
access that ESSID the password is remembered. Actually it's stored in
/etc/wicd/wireless-settings.conf which is set for root only access.
