boot loader not installed (solved)

 Actually, the reference you gave led me to some good info. Back when I used Linux full time, I was a Lilo guy. Switched to Windows to accommodate my fiance back when grub was pushing lilo out. So I now that I'm coming back to Linux I didn't have the grub skills to make my system happy. The references helped me get up to speed quickly.
