Well, I have Canon cameras and 8.04 and it just works. Is "Cannon" one of
those copies from China or something?

I use digiKam of course which found my camera, correctly mounted it, and
provides for printing, moving to drives or external memory cards. I have
even moved pictures off of the harddrive back onto the camera!

Don't have a windoze computer, they never work, always need special drivers
installed and too many other time wasting drawbacks for me.
