apt-get purge apache2 
apt-get install apache2
Will replace your bricked config with a new default one.

Always do a cp file.conf file.conf_backup before editting important configuration files.

I am missing Sections 2 and 3 of the apache2.conf file.  Does anyone
have an original file that they would not mind sharing?
