Re the docking station... sound interesting - this may be a stupid 
suggestion, but if you remove the station and place the laptop *exactly* 
here it would be (if the station were still there) - does wireless work? 
I'm suggesting this as I have one or two places in my house where you 
have to position the laptop very precisely for wireless to work (e.g  
rotation by a few degrees changes reception from 3 bars to 0 bars...)
