Upside-down exclamation mark in Ubuntu

Hey Chris (and everyone else who reads this)!
I found the compose key settings. It seems as though the default is to have
no compose key assigned. I set mine up as right-alt, and it seems to work
perfectly!
¡Graciàs! (actually, I'm not sure if the 'a' should be accented, but at
least I can accent it now!
PS
I just got your next message after writing all of that. Yes, it does look
like eight upside-down question marks.
