Howto diagnose sound problems?

Hi,

I think I've solved the problem here, at least it did not show up for a 
long time now. In my case, I have just commented out the line:
options snd-hda-intel power_save=10

in the file /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf

I think my battery will last less now, however. Well...
