No sound after upgrade...???

Things to try:
In alsamixer, press TAB and see if there are any hidden, muted channels.

If not, reboot and try pressing ESC at the GRUB prompt (right after
BIOS splash), then select the previous (9.10) kernel.  If sound works
again, you may be the proud owner of a kernel bug.
