From the delay at the canonical server I assume you aren't subscribed to
the list and the message had to be approved by a moderator. For your
last question there were some replies. Please have a look at [1] and [2]
to see the answers. Usually answers are sent only to the list and not to
the original sender. Therefore I suggest you subscribe to the list to be
able to more easily read the replies.

Please check the mixer settings for the sound card. Set all channels to
maximum level and make sure they are unmuted. If that doesn't help, try
the instructions at [3].
