While all of these things are true - for the average person sitting in
their home - if you hid your bssid 90% or more of your neighbors are out
of the picture right there, filter your mac addrs, drop the IP pool to
only the number you need plus 1 extra for the occasional friend who
stops by, you have now secured yourself to most of the people out there.
Sure, there are people who are going to and may have reason to go
further - but you had better have something they want like, bandwidth or
information.... Im not saying enc isn't a good thing, Im just saying,
considering the problems sometimes associated with getting it to work,
its not always necessary.
