yep, exactly. The install process will format the drive for you...no
need to pre-format the drive with a gparted liveCD or anything.
Despite the numerous recommendations to use an alternate CD to install,
I'd still recommend getting a standard LiveCD and doing it from there.
If you have no interest in using the live Environment, then just pick
the 'install' option from the CD menu. It gives you a nice GUI installer
that (for me anyway) takes less time to set up a new system with, than
the alternate CD. BUT, most importantly, if at some point in the future,
if something goes wrong, you'll have that Live environment to fall back
on for troubleshooting and getting help.
I've never had a bad experience with either method, thats just my
preference.
