Help with installation

May I also suggest this as a good resource for quickly learning your way
around the ubuntu desktop:
http://www.ubuntupocketguide.com/index_main.html

you can buy this as a book, or download the free pdf (same as book, just
free), and even though it's a little dated now, It's still a good
general reference for learning how to do things 'the ubuntu way' if
there even is such a thing.

Also, if you have any problems transitioning, feel free to ask. Chances
are, somebody else has gone through the same thing and might be able to
give you some pointers.

Just a word of warning for you to start off with: if you have/use a
relatively new (w/in the last 2-3 years) ipod, then you might be in for
some troubles trying to get it to cooperate with ubuntu. Other than
that, you should be fine.
