Hallo Goh Lip,
thanks, but my new notebook has no ROM-DRIVE at all - >Acer Aspire One< is a 8.9".

My goal is to resize the only partition (presently there is only 1 primery partition of ca. 150GB and 1 swap-partition of 1GB) so I could install my WIN XP and keep the >LINPUS LINUX< on a smaller primary partition first - I have WIN XP installable from a pendrive.

The >FEDORA liveusb-creator-3.7< runs also on WIN XP and so I could create the LiveUSBPendrive with >ubuntu-9.04-netbook-remix< and install it - >ubuntu-9.04-netbook-remix< comes with Partition-Manager, so it would be an easy, proper way to install it.

The main problem is that I am not able to install the >FEDORA liveusb-creator-3.7< which I have downloaded as >.tar.bz2< but the comand >sudo yum install liveusb-creator< does not work with my present OS >LINPUS LINUX< - but mybe I do not do the right thing with that FEDORA file >liveusb-creator-3.7.tar.bz2<: I only unpack it on >desktop<, than I navigate the >terminal< to >desktop< and type >sudo yum install liveusb-creator/liveusb-creator-3.7/<
This is what I get:
[user at localhost Desktop]$ sudo yum install /liveusb-creator-3.7/
Setting up Install Process
Parsing package install arguments
Importing additional filelist information
filelists.sqlite.bz2      100% |=========================| 8.0 MB    00:56
filelists.sqlite.bz2      100% |=========================| 1.1 kB    00:00
No package /liveusb-creator-3.7/ available.
Nothing to do

So you see, at this point I don't know what else I could do or how to do it right..........

Mike
