What is a 'Screen Name' in Thunderbird's and SeaMonkey's address books?

It's another form of contact like a telephone number.  It makes 
no less sense to allow for recording of a IM screen name in an 
email client's address book than it makes sense to allow for the 
recording of a telephone number there.
