I do it via imap/smtp now and it appears to work, so I've never felt the
need to change it.
Also, I check these from at least two different PCs, and I like my read
and ignore flags to be preserved. Which, AFAIK, nntp doesn't provide
for. That said, last time I had cause to find out it wasn't something I
was particularly interested in.
