Let me chime in.
I dist-upgraded my Jaunty to Karmic last week. All went well, except one
little thing. The only hiccup was that in Karmic Synaptic package
manager crashed a few times, and so did the bug reporting tool. I used
aptitude from the command at that time. But I have noticed after a
reboot it seems to have cured itself.
No problems since then, from system upgrade-wise, i.e. Network-manager
though doesn't work with OpenVPN as I thought it should, but it appears
it is a problem with network-manager-openvpn package itself.
Regards.
